Apprenticeship in child care and early years
CACHE level 2 or level 3 – Certificates for the Children & Young People’s Workforce
Our Metis training division specialises in delivery of the qualifications necessary to work in child care or early year’s education. The course tutors and assessors have extensive experience in the sector, having worked in or run nurseries themselves.
The programmes have been designed to fit in with working commitments. The level 2 programme is run on weekday evenings over a period of three terms. The level 3 programme has some weekday evenings at the start and thereafter runs one Saturday a month over three terms.
The programmes are targeted at two levels:
Level 2 – for those working in a supervised role with children or young people aged 0–19 years or on a professional placement. This is the certification you need to become a registered practitioner. It can be undertaken as part of a full time apprenticeship scheme funded by the Government and will then include functional skills and paediatric first aid.
Level 3 – for practitioners already working or in a professional unsupervised placement with children or young people aged between 0–19 years. It can be undertaken as part of a full time advanced apprenticeship scheme funded by the Government and will then include functional skills and paediatric first aid.
