Advanced Programme in Leadership and Management
The Skills Team Advanced Apprenticeship in Leadership and Management offers managers the chance to gain nationally recognised qualifications from the institute of Leadership and Management; further develop their competence and progress their career development.
The programme is ideal for individuals who are already competent managers working with teams or managing complex relationships with external customers or suppliers and have a degree of authority to make decisions.
The programme
The programme takes between 6 and 9 months to complete and includes 6 days of training; all materials, test and certification fees; individualised assessor support and any necessary revision sessions to ensure candidates achieve their qualificiation.
Day 1
Induction session, personal professional development and leadership styles
Day 2
Leadership skills, team dynamics, delegation, empowerment and motivation
Day 3
IT skills, working with numbers and IT testing
Day 4
Developing others, feedback, appraisals, mentoring, counselling and managing stress
Day 5
Working relationships; communication and effective meetings
Day 6
Decision making, monitoring and review techniques, problem solving
