Career development

Having a personal involvement in maintaining and developing your skills is vital for career development. Good employers are always keen to invest in training their staff; but you have the most to gain from continuing to learn and develop, so that you are ready and equipped to meet new challenges and ahead of the game when it comes to career advancement. To do this effectively, it is important to have a clear career direction so that you can map out the skills you will need to develop along the way and better still, to have a timetable in mind to ensure you achieve your goals in the right timeframe.

That’s why we make personal development an aspect of all our programmes and help you to establish your own Personal Development Plan.

It also helps to gain nationally recognised qualifications that prove your level of skills and competency. We offer qualifications that are accredited by the leading awarding bodies in their fields:

The Institute of Leadership and Management - for all our team leading and management programmes

OCR for our ICT, customer service and business administration programmes

CACHE – for our child care and early years programmes

We are also an accredited Microsoft Academy

We offer two different types of vocational development programmes:

Apprenticeships – designed to help you develop in the first year of a new job or role

NVQ’s – National Vocational Qualifications that assess your skills against national standards
